Title: [Blood serotonin level in sciatica and the serotonin theory of migraine pathogenesis]. Author: Selmaj K. Journal: Neurol Neurochir Pol; 1979; 13(2):169-72. PubMed ID: 450180. Abstract: The blood serotonin level was determined by the fluorescent method of Ashcroft in 13 patients with sciatic pains during the pains and after the disappearance. The serotonin level was usually higher at the time of pains.
