Title: [Autonomic reactions during mental activity in 4--7-year-old children]. Author: Beliaeva ZV. Journal: Zh Vyssh Nerv Deiat Im I P Pavlova; 1979; 29(2):232-6. PubMed ID: 452712. Abstract: The paper deals with formation of the complex of effector vegetative components of mental activity (on the model of sum doing) in the children under school age (4-5 and 6-7 years old) with different correlation of direct and verbal stimuli. It is found that the perception and processing of direct signals (kinesthetic, visual) creates optimal conditions for voluntary activity and its vegetative provision. Processing of the information with second signal significance worsens the performance of mental operations and of their vegetative provision particularly in 4-5 years old children (as compared to 6-7 years old ones).[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
