    Author: Poncet E, Lavaud J, Peynègre R, Receveur M, Haddad J.
Journal: Ann Otolaryngol Chir Cervicofac; 1979 Mar; 96(3):133-40. PubMed ID: 475233.
    Abstract:
68 patients who might have had a caustic oesophageal burn were observed in the E.N.T. department of Enfants Malades Hospital between 1973 and 1977. We describe the causes, the age, the character of the burns analysed after systematic oesophagoscopy, and treatment. The results are studied taking into account the depth of the burn, the nature of the toxic agent and the therapeutic possibilities.
