Title: Soluble antigen from sheep erythrocytes: preparation and antigenic properties. Author: Waterston RH. Journal: Immunology; 1970 Mar; 18(3):431-5. PubMed ID: 4909882. Abstract: A soluble antigen has been obtained from sheep erythrocytes by sonication. This material is not sedimented by centrifugation by 3.5×106g minutes. but is excluded from Sephadex G-200 gel. The soluble preparation elicits an antibody response in vivo and reacts with antibody prepared against intact sheep erythrocytes. The soluble antigen is as effective as erythrocytes in inducing delayed-type hypersensitivity and in eliciting the delayed-type reaction.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
