Title: Abnormal gonadal differentiation in XY females and XX males. Author: Ferguson-Smith MA. Journal: Birth Defects Orig Artic Ser; 1971 May; 7(6):204-9. PubMed ID: 5173163. Abstract: It now seems probable that most cases of pure gonadal dysgenesis in XY women are genetically determined rather than induced by environmental agents. Some sporadic cases may conceivably be the result of X-Y interchange and it is suggested that more strenuous efforts be made to study the inheritance of X-linked markers in these cases and in XX true hermaphrodites. Such studies have already been most informative in XX males.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
