  • Title: [Wound infections in orthopaedic surgery (author's transl)].
    Author: Kluge K.
Journal: Zentralbl Chir; 1979; 104(19):1288-91. PubMed ID: 532402.
    Abstract:
From 1967 to 1977 we analysed the healing of wounds from orthopaedic surgery. We directed our special attention to the results of the year 1977, as a result of efforts toward permanent hygienic education of the staff and personnel. We observed disturbed wound healing in 5,7% and manifest wound infections in 1,4%. The spectrum of pathogens consisted of 50% grampositive and gramnegative bacteria respectively.
