Abstract: Chromomycosis is a chronic, slowly progressive disease of the skin and subcutaneous tissue produced by several species of dematiaceous or pigmented fungi, especially Phialophora gougeroti. Verrucous nodules and flattened annular plaques are the most frequently reported skin lesions in chromomycosis, but deep abscesses and cystic lesions have also been reported.
