    Abstract:
    Studies were carried out on the pharmacokinetic behaviour of 5-oxo-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-pyrazoline (phenazone) by means of intraindividual comparison following oral and rectal administration in man. A one-compartment model served to describe the course of blood levels, in which the twin peaks of following rectal administration are quite remarkable. The influence of variation in the pharmaceutical dosage form on the pharmacokinetic behaviour patterns of phenazone were studied and intraindividual differences not inconsiderable are obvious.
