  • Title: [Changes in glucose-6-phosphatase and fructose-1,6-diphosphatase activity in the rat liver after electric stimulation of the hypothalamus].

    Abstract:
Electrostimulation of structures from different hypothalamus areas was studied for its effect on glucose-6-phosphatase and fructose-1.6-diphosphatase activity in the rat liver. The enzymic activity lowers statistically significantly 60 min after the supraoptic nuclei stimulation onset and after dorso- and ventromedial nuclei stimulation rises. Changes in the activity 60 min after the initiation of stimulation of posterior hypothalamic, medial mammillary nuclei and lateral hypothalamic field are insignificant. Stimulation of paraventricular nuclei causes in certain experiments an increase, in others--a decrease of the activity of the enzymes under study.
