Title: Stimulation of amniotic fluid cell growth by cartilage growth factor. Author: Golbus MS, Djalali M, Klagsbrun M, Kaback MM, Levenson RM, Epstein CJ. Journal: Am J Med Genet; 1980; 6(2):107-11. PubMed ID: 6108715. Abstract: Cartilage growth factor (CGF) stimulates the growth of primary and secondary cultures of human amniotic fluid cells. Over a 14--16-day period there is an approximately 70% enhancement in the number of cells in primary cultures and a 170% increase in secondary cultures. Neither the karyotype or the specific activities of lysosomal enzymes are altered by the presence of CGF in the medium.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
