Title: Electron microscopy of glutamine synthetase from pea leaf chloroplasts. Author: Tsuprun VL, Samsonidze TG, Radukina NA, Pushkin AV, Evstigneeva ZG, Kretovich WL. Journal: Biochim Biophys Acta; 1980 Nov 20; 626(1):1-4. PubMed ID: 6109548. Abstract: The structure of pea leaf chloroplast glutamine synthetase was studied by electron microscopy. The enzyme is shown to consist of eight elongated subunits which are arranged with point 42 symmetry at the vertices of two squares. These squares are twisted about the 4-fold axis at 40 degrees relative to each other.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
