Title: [Etiology of hormonal gingivitis]. Author: Arnold M. Journal: Zahn Mund Kieferheilkd Zentralbl; 1982; 70(2):115-9. PubMed ID: 6211863. Abstract: 14 characteristic variables were statistically examined for their temporal progress before and after 2, 4, and 6 months of hormonal contraceptive use on patients with the initial state of a healthy periodontium, gingivitis, and periodontitis by means of the multiple average value comparison according to Newman/Keuls. The comparison of the significant differences demonstrates that especially inflammable appearances occur with healthy periodontium, whereas the iodine units, gingival recession, and the pocket depth are increasing in cases of gingivitis. Findings on the gingival margin are to be evaluated with those of the interdental gingiva. (author's)[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
