  • Title: Misleading 67Ga uptake and serial bone scintigraphy in osteoid osteoma.
Author: Blom J, Pauwels EK, Piso LN, Taminiau AH.
Journal: Diagn Imaging; 1983; 52(5):276-9. PubMed ID: 6225630.
    Abstract:
5 consecutive patients with osteoid osteoma were examined with bone scintigraphy and 67Ga scintigraphy. In 2 cases a 'three-phase' bone scintigraphy was performed. Scintigraphic features included obvious 67Ga uptake and diffusely increased accumulation on blood pool images. Thus, osteoid osteoma may possess the same scintigraphic characteristics as osteomyelitis.
