Title: [Intraoral minor salivary gland tumors. Report of 296 cases (author's transl)]. Author: Brocheriou C, Crepy C, Guilbert F, Lartigau G, Payen J, Recoing J. Journal: Bull Cancer; 1980; 67(1):29-37. PubMed ID: 6244870. Abstract: 296 intraoral minor salivary gland tumors were observed among 702 salivary tumors. The study emphasizes a frequent palatine location, observed in more than 50 per cent of theses tumors. Pleiomorphic adenomas (or so called mixed tumors), are frequently encountered; but it is noteworthy that the proportion of muco-epidermoid tumors or adenoid cystic carcinoma is higher among theses tumors than among major salivary glands; this fact explain a poor overall prognosis of minor salivary gland tumors.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
