Title: The presence of intranuclear lipid inclusions in hepatocytes of mice after chronic ingestion of polybrominated biphenyl. Author: Martino LJ, Wilson-Martino NA, Benitz KF. Journal: Arch Toxicol; 1981 Apr; 47(2):155-8. PubMed ID: 6268014. Abstract: Electron microscopic study of livers from mice fed 167 ppm polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) for 12 weeks showed hepatocytes with nuclei containing varied amounts of lipid inclusions. The inclusions appeared as spherical vacuoles free in the nuclear matrix. This is the first report of the induction of lipid inclusions within the nucleus by a halogenated hydrocarbon.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
