  • Title: Autoradiographic localization of beta-adrenoceptors in rat kidney.
    Author: Summers RJ, Kuhar MJ.
    Journal: Eur J Pharmacol; 1983 Jul 22; 91(2-3):305-10. PubMed ID: 6311583.
    Abstract:
The beta-adrenoceptor antagonist radioligand [125I]cyanopindolol (CYP) has been used to localize beta-adrenoceptors in rat kidney sections. [125I]CYP bound with high affinity to sites in rat kidney sections having the recognition characteristics of beta-adrenoceptors. Autoradiographic studies combined with histochemical techniques demonstrated that the beta-adrenoceptors were primarily located on renal glomeruli, distal and cortical collecting tubules rather than on proximal tubules or vascular elements.
