  • Title: [Relation between the binding of 3H-imipramine and the uptake of catecholamines in synaptosomal preparations of the rat brain after chronic treatment with imipramine].
    Author: Dagonneau H, Fonlupt P, Pacheco H.
    Journal: C R Seances Soc Biol Fil; 1984; 178(1):38-44. PubMed ID: 6331605.
    Abstract:
After 3 weeks treatment with imipramine (7.5 mg/kg/ip), 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake in rat brain homogenates was not affected whereas noradrenaline uptake was lowered. This result could be explain by metabolism of imipramine producing desipramine.
