Abstract: Emergencies may arise as immediate problems during surgical procedures or they may be delayed sequelae to surgical treatment. The immediate problems include haemorrhage from the operative site; mandibular fracture; tuberosity fracture; fracture of the antral wall; broken instruments; and displaced teeth.
