    Abstract:
A case of arteriovenous fistula of the lung is reported. The patient's--a 44 years old male--dyspnoe and cyanosis during several years were thought to be of cardial origin. After the onset of the symptoms of severe portal hypertension progression of the disease and death followed. At the autopsy in the lower lobe of the right lung a circumscribed arteriovenous fistula was found. Origin, types, pathomechanismus--especially pathomorphological aspects--of the arteriovenous fistula are discussed.
