Title: [Control of follicle maturation by estrogen determination in the serum and urine during treatment with gonadotropins]. Author: Seifert B, Hassler MP, Helbing W. Journal: Zentralbl Gynakol; 1983; 105(8):482-6. PubMed ID: 6408837. Abstract: Determinations of estrogen concentration in urine or serum for estimation of follicle maturity is a precondition for treatment with gonadotropines. -- Both methods determination are retrospectively compared in 22 cases. Only the RIA-method of 17 beta-estradiol determination is capable to recognize an overstimulation with a high rate of reliability, because the evidence of total estrogens in urine lags behind. Clinical tests such as Insler-score don't indicate chemical overstimulation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
