Abstract: The usefulness of digital subtraction angiography of the venous system, which we have termed "digital subtraction phlebography (DSP)" was demonstrated in the region of the vena cava, the pelvic veins and the veins of the arms. DSP is especially of diagnostic value in the region of the vena cava and pelvic veins and offers no advantage in the veins of the lower extremities compared to conventional phlebography.
