    Abstract:
    In two caries model experiments on Wistar rats, a significant reduction in caries was observed following local application of Fluorprotektor and Duraphat. There appears to be no difference between the caries-protective properties of these two agents. The accumulation of fluoride in the superficial enamel was tenfold to elevenfold for the two lacquers. Residual Fluorprotektor was found on teeth even after twenty-four days from the application thereto.
