    Abstract:
    Six examples of aseptic necrosis of the epiphyseal end of the clavicle in adults are described. The radiological appearances are highly characteristic, allowing a definite diagnosis and exclusion of other conditions. The histological changes could be established by the examination of material obtained during resection and arthroplasty. The radiological differential diagnosis is discussed.
