Title: Reliability of detection of leucocyturia by means of the dip-stick Cytur-Test. Author: Kaltenis P, Baciulis V, Liubsis A. Journal: Int Urol Nephrol; 1984; 16(3):233-5. PubMed ID: 6480284. Abstract: Urine from 72 children was tested for leukocyturia simultaneously by means of the Cytur-Test and microscopically in a counting chamber. Total agreement of both methods in detection of leukocyturia was noted in 69 cases (96%). Bacteriuria had no influence on the results of the Cytur-Test. It is concluded that the Cytur-Test is a sensitive and specific means for detection of leukocyturia, being especially suitable in the ambulatory practice.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
