Title: [Experiences with pancreas occlusion following cephalic duodenopancreatectomy]. Author: Lippert H, Wolff H, Lorenz D, Wojczik H, Kühn F. Journal: Zentralbl Chir; 1984; 109(17):1112-21. PubMed ID: 6495915. Abstract: 68 patients suffering from complications of chronic pancreatitis or tumours of the periampullary region respectively underwent partial duodeno-pancreatectomy (modified Whipple procedure) with or without obstruction of the remaining duct of the pancreas. These patients were followed-up and examined for glucose tolerance, serum insulin and C peptide levels until 2 years after surgery. There were no significant differences in endocrine function between patients with or without pancreatic duct obliteration by acrylate glueing.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
