Title: [Was "the incredible suicide by axe blows" in reality a homicide?]. Author: Keiser-Nielsen H. Journal: Z Rechtsmed; 1984; 93(2):135-41. PubMed ID: 6516600. Abstract: In 1935 the middle-aged wife of a farmer was found with several wounds in her head, originating from blows from an axe that was found nearby. The death was accepted as a "most unusual case of suicide" and was reported by Willy Munck in this journal (27:308-318, 1937). The present author, who at that time was a young medical student and dealt with the victim in hospital, was of another opinion but tried in vain to have the case re-considered. On the basis of some original observations, it is suggested that "the unusual suicide" should rightly be considered as a murder case.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
