Title: [Experimental studies of the tensile strength of laser adhesions]. Author: Misita V. Journal: Klin Monbl Augenheilkd; 1984 Jul; 185(1):43-5. PubMed ID: 6541270. Abstract: This paper presents results of measurements of laser adhesions in rabbit eyes. A circular area of the retina 2.5 mm in diameter was covered with laser burns (diameter of laser beam 200 microns). The strength of the adhesion was measured on the 8th and 22nd days after coagulation. The adhesive area consisted of 60-65 laser scars. The measuring technique was described by Zauberman and Berman in 1969. The group of 60-65 laser scars produced with a laser beam 200 microns in diameter and distributed over a retinal area 2.5 mm in diameter withstood traction of 90-280 mg after one week and 140-330 mg after three weeks.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
