Title: Focal facial inflammation of the attached gingiva. Author: Baer PN, Archard HO, Klingsberg J. Journal: J Periodontol; 1984 Nov; 55(11):638-41. PubMed ID: 6594501. Abstract: An unusual gingivitis noted as a discrete lesion involving the facial attached gingiva in a focal and confined area has been described in two adolescent females. A unique histopathologic appearance includes a striking intraepithelial edema associated with a focal area of acute and chronic inflammation.
