    Abstract:
    Septic bursitis caused by Hemophilus influenzae, to our knowledge, has not been described previously. We treated a patient who had bursitis and meningitis caused by a nontype B Hemophilus influenzae. The clinical features of septic bursitis are briefly discussed and the importance of bursal aspiration and culture is emphasized.
