Title: A new surgical approach to traumatic rectourethral fistulas. Author: Tang N. Journal: J Urol; 1978 May; 119(5):693-5. PubMed ID: 660747. Abstract: To solve the dual problem of recurring stenosis of the posterior urethra and difficult closure of the fistulous tract in traumatic rectourethral fistulas the Johanson urethroplasty has been used in 4 cases of lower fistulas and the direct urethra-bladder neck anastomosis has been used in 4 cases of upper fistulas. The good results obtained seem to confirm the value of these methods. Direct urethra-bladder neck anastomosis also has been used successfully to treat posterior urethral strictures.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
