Title: [The dominant and interhemispheric relations]. Author: Bianki VL. Journal: Zh Vyssh Nerv Deiat Im I P Pavlova; 1983; 33(3):416-25. PubMed ID: 6613333. Abstract: The role of the dominant in the interhemispheric asymmetry and interhemispheric relationships in animals is discussed. Examples are given of lateral specialization of their brain. The interhemispheric asymmetry are described: bilaterality of origin, the mozaic pattern, a certain stability. An asymmetry model created by lateralized light source is analysed. The result was used to study interhemispheric relationships. The role of the dominant in the organization of the callosal common path is discussed. A conclusion was drawn that the dominant is a major mechanism of the functional interhemispheric asymmetry and interhemispheric relationships.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
