Abstract: Due to its variable attitude--and motiondepending pain symptoms meralgia paraesthetica may easily be misinterpreted as an affection of the hip joint or not be regarded as additional and sometimes chief complaint of that. Moreover our investigations show that meralgia paraesthetica is seen quite frequently in patients suffering from coxarthrosis. A case report illustrates the subject.
