Title: [A new micromethod for the determination of ammonia concentrations in whole blood and plasma]. Author: Leweling H, Tschepe A, Holm E. Journal: Leber Magen Darm; 1983 Jul; 13(4):160-2. PubMed ID: 6676619. Abstract: Ammonia concentrations were measured in 152 plasma samples taken from patients with liver cirrhosis or from intensive care patients. For each sample, a new reflectometric procedure (AC-System) as well as the enzymatic method (Monotest) were used. There was a high and significant correlation between the values obtained with the two methods (r = 0.98, p less than or equal to 0.001). Ammonia determination by means of the reflectometric procedure can also be done in whole blood.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
