Abstract: Sixty patients with chronic calcifying pancreatitis (CCP) of alcoholic etiology have been submitted to liver biopsy: in 44 cases the fragment was obtained during surgery, in four cases under laparoscopy, in five during necropsy, in two blind percutaneous biopsy and both surgical and laparoscopic in two cases.
