Abstract: Squamous carcinoma of the breast is a rare neoplasm and should not be confused with spindle cell skin carcinoma which derives from the nipple. Differential diagnosis includes other primary (e.g. medullary) carcinomas where more or less extensive zones of typical or atypical squamous metaplasia are found.
