Abstract: Four cases of hereditary sex-linked juvenile retinoschisis are reviewed and compared with those reported in the literature. Ophthalmoscopic, angiographic and therapeutic features of this disease, characterized by its recessive sex-linked hereditary nature and its clinical symptoms associating microcystic macular degeneration, peripheral lesions, vitreous disturbances and altered electroretinograms, are described.
