PubMed ID: 6702130. Abstract: Clinical, roentgenological and morphological data on 301 followed-up cases of Hodgkin's disease were analysed. The lung was involved in 99 patients (32.9%). Patients showing signs of intoxication, involvement of mediastinal, axillary and supraclavicular lymph nodes and prognostically unfavorable histologic patterns of lesion formed the group at high risk for lung affection. Five-year survival rate was 84.4% in the intact lung group, and 39.5%--in patients with diseased lung. As for cases of stage II and III with intact lung, the relevant figure was 86.0%--1.6 times that in cases of stage IIE-IIIE with lung lesions developing per continuitatem.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
