  • Title: [Compression syndrome in circulatory disorders of the spinal cord].
    Author: Iumashev GS, Zhestovskiĭ VK.
Journal: Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova; 1984; 84(1):26-8. PubMed ID: 6702371.
    Abstract:
A patient with impaired cerebrospinal circulation at the thoracic level was observed. Disorders of salt metabolism resulted into the development of calcinosis of the cerebrospinal meninges which in turn brought about its compression whose nature, prior to surgery, was believed to be neoplastic. Compression of the spinal cord, irrespective of its origin, calls for the use of objective methods of study and surgical intervention.
