Title: [Diagnostic imaging of malignant lymphoma]. Author: Matsumoto M, Ikeda H, Sakaino K, Okazaki A, Nakajima N, Niibe H, Nagai T. Journal: Gan To Kagaku Ryoho; 1982 Feb; 9(2):210-9. PubMed ID: 6764101. Abstract: Diagnostic accuracy about the relation between staging laparotomy and each diagnostic modality was reviewed. Modern diagnostic imaging revealed high diagnostic accuracy (80-90%) in detection of abdominal lymphoma except for diffuse hepatic and splenic lesions. Staging of malignant lymphoma before and after computed tomography was evaluated: in 15 cases out of 47 patients with malignant lymphoma, stage of disease was changed into the higher stage. Computed tomography can provide complementary information about extension of the disease, which are not detected by gallium scintigraphy and lymphography. Lymphography, gallium scintigraphy and computed tomography are the major diagnostic modalities for staging of malignant lymphoma.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
