Title: [Primary tumor duplicity in cervix cancer in the material of the Berlin University Gynecological Clinic, 1955--1969]. Author: Elling D. Journal: Zentralbl Gynakol; 1978; 100(10):650-5. PubMed ID: 676564. Abstract: A report is given about the primary event of multiple maligne tumors by patients with carcinoma of the cervix. We found a second maligne tomor in 1.5% of cases. The manifestation was variable. Specially frequent is the coincidence of carcinoma of the cervex and carcimoma of the endometrium. The average age runs up to 62 years. The interval up to the diagnosis of the second tumor amounts 3,8 years. The probability of developing a second maligne tumor declines when the interval becomes longer. The necessity of an interdisciolinary team-work between acters in the follow up care of cancer patients is pointed out.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
