Title: A complication of direct right atrial catheterization for total parenteral nutrition. Author: Apelgren KN, Rombeau JL, Casey JJ, Treasure RL. Journal: JPEN J Parenter Enteral Nutr; 1981; 5(2):164-5. PubMed ID: 6787233. Abstract: A markedly malnourished man with Crohn's disease and superior vena cava thrombosis required direct right atrial catheterization for total parenteral nutrition. Technical suggestions for avoiding this complication and alternative venous access sites are discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
