  • Title: [Fractionated radiation treatment combined with hyperthermia in transplantable adenocarcinoma of the mouse (author's transl)].
Author: von Szczepanski L, Trott KR.
Journal: Strahlentherapie; 1978 Sep; 154(9):653-5. PubMed ID: 684788.
    Abstract:
Transplantable adenocarcinomas of the C3H mouse were treated with fractionated radiotherapy combined with local hyperthermia of 43.5 degrees C for 20 min before each dose fraction and local cure rate was determined. The sensitizing effect of hyperthermia was seen with fractionated treatment as well as with single treatment. The TER (thermal enhancement ratio), however, decreased with decreasing interval between the fractions.
