Abstract: The experience of the living body as condition of the human existence is evaluated according to the concept of the anthropological-integrative psychotherapy of D. Wyss. General ways of behavior towards the own body specially in psychosomatic diseases are subjected to research, including the possibilities of the therapist reactions. Models of psychosomatic methods are criticized under this aspect but also positive ways of approach discussed.
