Title: [Combination of music therapy methods in dynamic group psychotherapy]. Author: Kaufmann GV. Journal: Psychiatr Neurol Med Psychol (Leipz); 1983 Mar; 35(3):148-53. PubMed ID: 6867202. Abstract: The use of different forms of music therapy in the course of dynamic group-centered psychotherapy is described and discussed on the basis of the author's clinical experience. The choice of the form is governed by the objectives of therapy for the particular group situation. Close cooperation between the therapists dealing with the group is a prerequisite. As long as the therapists work to a strictly defined plan both active and reactive music therapy can be used to augment the other forms of treatment by encouraging experience and, by awakening particularly the emotions of the patients, help in coping with the unconscious intrapsychic confliction.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
