    Abstract:
    The author defines two categories of stress and their many causes. Examples of stressful situations in biocommunications are given with tips on their management. She then focuses on the "frustration cycle" and shows how failure to deal with it may lead to feelings of helplessness on the job; thus the onset of such responses as apathy, decompensation, fear, and anger. The author concludes by suggesting methods for stress reduction.
