Title: Vesical instability: urodynamic parameters by microtip transducer catheters. Author: Hebert DB, Ostergard DR. Journal: Obstet Gynecol; 1982 Sep; 60(3):331-7. PubMed ID: 6889712. Abstract: Thirty-two women with vesical instability underwent detailed urodynamic evaluation with microtip transducer catheters. Dynamic urethral profilometry demonstrated combined incontinence (genuine stress incontinence and vesical instability) in 13 patients (41%). Supine cystometry with the subject at rest demonstrated vesical instability in only 21 patients (66%). In 11 patients (34%) either provocative maneuvers or erect cystometry was required to make a diagnosis of vesical instability. Seven patients (22%) had evidence of urethral instability before the onset of involuntary detrusor contractions.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
