Abstract: The elimination of a methicillin-resistant strain of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) from the nose of a hospital staff member is described. Administration of antibacterial agents and intranasal inoculation of a sensitive strain of Staph. aureus failed to eradicate the MRSA.
