  • Title: [Changes in the erythrocyte, 2,3-DPG and ATP content in leukemic diseases].
    Author: Iordanova E, Arnaudov G.
Journal: Vutr Boles; 1981; 20(2):119-23. PubMed ID: 6942591.
    Abstract:
Intraerythrocyte content of 2,3-DPG and ATP was determined in 29 patients with leukemic diseases, acute stage of the disease. A considerable increase of 2,3-DPG and ATP was found in the patients with chronic myeloleucosis and blast leucosis. The elevation of 2,3-DPG is minimum om case of chronic lympholeucosis, whereas ATP remains unchanged. The changes in the those substances found are a manifestation of the present compensatory potentialities of erythrocyte metabolism of those patients.
