Abstract: In six cases of pulmonary cryptococcosis cytological studies helped to establish the correct diagnosis. With the introduction of new diagnostic techniques, such as fine-needle aspiration and fiberoptic bronchoscopy, preoperative and antemortem diagnoses of pulmonary cryptococcosis will be made more frequently.
