Title: [Programming of goal-directed behavior and the associative systems of the brain]. Author: Batuev AS. Journal: Fiziol Zh SSSR Im I M Sechenova; 1980 May; 66(5):629-41. PubMed ID: 6995162. Abstract: Probabilistically organized milieu determines the organism's ability for expedient behavioural actions. Formation of behaviour probabilistic programs is based on domineering motivation, past experience (both genetic and ontogenetic), and estimation of current situation fixed in the short-term memory. Higher associative thalamo-cortical systems of the brain possess basic structural--functional premises for estimation of their participation in the mechanisms of probabilistic prognostication. A scheme of functional structure of an expedient behavioural action is considered as based on the dominanta mechanisms.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
